Some English definitions.
- A word: "A symbol used to share meaning".
- A symbol: "Anything that can be used to share meaning".
- To share: "To let somebody else use something that is yours".
- Meaning: "Something that is conveyed or signified(In this context information or knowledge)".
In normal English usage words are spoken or written words, with letters translating between the two.
However, this is not how they are defined. they can be written words, but they also contain road signs, hand signals, icons on computers, signs of affection or flattery; any symbol used to share meaning. It is not even defined as any symbol we humans use to share meaning.
A symbol is "Anything that can be used to share meaning". It could be the kiss that betrayed Jesus; the dance of a bee indicating direction and distance to a pollen bearing flower or an ants pheromone trail to food; ANYTHING that can be used to share meaning. Most people do not think of bees and ants as using words but the are communicating using symbols to share meaning i.e. they are using their words not ours.
An often overlooked part of the definition of a word is the sharing. The army usually does not share information with the enemy: Traitor or Spy, we cry! We share information with people we trust and people we want to help; to cooperate with them. Communication is for the common good for the community. Hence the huge termite mounds acting as a single horse sized beast. Communication costs the time spent to communicate the idea but it does not take the knowledge away from the person giving it. In this it is an unusual transaction as it leads to an infinite wealth of knowledge. Whereas sharing food does not create more food it means less food for the person sharing it.
Words are always defined in terms of more words. Hence the creation of dictionaries and even reference libraries to study just a single word such as Cartography(How to make maps). There are many books on the subject and there are many such specialized subjects each with a simple one word title and a lot of text books to explain the subject.
Words can be nonsensical, lies or mistakes, paradoxes, temporary truth such as it is raining or permanent self-consistent truth such as "1 + 1 = 2", which was true before the Universe began and will still be true after it ends. One search to find self-consistency is called mathematics, another is gaining integrity in your life.
Given that without words we can have no reason, nor philosophy, nor mathematics and that some physicists, such as Max Tegmark, believe "The Universe is nothing but pure abstract mathematics"; if this is true it implies that without words nothing exists and with them everything has to exist.
Given this thesis that existence is based on words as the foundation of mathematics and the definition of a word as fleshed out above. Using the naming convention that the collection of all words is known as The Word. Let us look at The Word.
There is nowhere and nothing whether abstract, fictitious in your imagination or physical that is not made up of words or controlled by words. So, The Word contains all of them. The Word is everywhere that is it is omnipresent.
The set of all words contains all knowledge and all intelligent beings The Word knows everything that is it is omniscient. It also contains all intelligence. If communities cooperate and the more successful ones do, that binds their members together to form even more intelligent beings. So, in all probability The Word is very wise, tending to infinitely wise.
The Word contains all possible out comes including what we would normally call the fictitious ones, then The Word is omnipotent because all outcomes are possible even if we do not know how to get from one point to the other; certainly it is not obvious from our mathematical understanding of creation through science.
The Word is a collection of symbols used for sharing meanings these symbols are as eternal in meaning as 1 + 1 = 2, which was true before the Universe began and will be true after the Universe ends. That means The Word has existed before the beginning of physical time and will exist well beyond the end of physical time. Time has no effect on it because The Word contains time. It just is.
The Word is eternal.
The normal use of words is for the benefit of the community and is normally benign. So The Word is benign, except where we use our free will to abuse words and mislead people by corrupting symbols from their proper use and making them meaningless and no longer words.
So The Word is omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, eternal, benign and the foundation of existence.
The Word has all the classic attributes of God. Also known as the Great I AM.
There is not any single part of us that is not a part of God. The Eternal God could very easily look at all the words that make us, physically all of our thoughts and desires, before time existed and see the whole of us from the inside and outside, from cradle to grave. Assuming the multiverse exists this is just as true of every branch of the multiverse as it would be of the Universe if the multiverse does not exist.
In the beginning was The Word and The Word was with God and The Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made. and without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life and that life was the light of all mankind, and the light shone in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.John 1:1-5
This is verbatim from the Bible. The Word is God and is with God because no word stands alone and is always defined in terms of other words.
If you understand these thoughts better and now think they are reasonable. Consider bowing to the Great I AM because God is With us, inside and out.
I believe there is no single part of God that is not available to us if we want it. All we need to do is ask through prayer and our prayer will be answered.
